Purple People Apparel: The Official Adrian Peterson MVP Shirt Gives me a Sad

Adrian Peterson MVP Shirt

Well this is awful.

This was the early release version of the Adrian Peterson MVP shirt, apparently being sold on NFL.com or some garbage like that. As the individual most responsible for declaring all things fashionable or not in Vikings fandom, I am here to declare that this IS NOT, and if I catch you wearing this I'll break your god damn arm.

Unfortunately, this isn't the only MVPeterson shirt that is out there. Yup, it gets much worse before it gets any better.

The following is a picture of the Adrian Peterson MVP shirt that was subsequently released by the Minnesota Vikings. Call it something of a team specific, personalized and special piece of shit that you can wear on your chest, one that will embarrass not only you and all other Vikings fans, but rather Adrian Peterson himself:

Honestly, what would you say to him if you were a grown ass man that walked up to him in that shirt? "Hey dude! Congrats on your MVP season! I supported your work this season so hard I bought a shirt that has a picture of you on it that kind of looks like you're running! And half the shirt's text is in Las Vegas while the other typography came from Tr0n! Isn't that cool?!" He would weep Jesus tears all over again.

Instead, we here at Purple Jesus Diaries said "Screw these ugly shirts" and made a commemorative shirt of our own, that we would like you to purchase, kindly. It's a simple design that calls on the OFFICIAL VIKINGS COLORS (I looked at the Pantone number, I promise) and reminds us all that the MVP went ALL DAY this season. Sexily, it comes in a men's version or a women's version. Kudos for gender equality!

I once saw Paul Edinger kick a 56-yard field goal for the Minnesota Vikings against the Green Bay Packers to win a game in the Metrodome. It was exhilarating.
